LayAwayWhen you see this symbol, it means that someone is currently making payments on the item tagged according to the terms of our LayAway Policy below and, unless it is cancelled at a later date for some reason, the item is considered sold.  You may order LayAway items with our online secure server.  When paying by credit card, simply write in the special instructions window "LayAway Requested" and only the amount of the deposit will be charged.  Our secure server simply relays the order to us securely; we must physically process your charge so you will not be billed the full amount even though this is what will show up on your order.  

HOLDWhen you see this symbol, it means that someone has put money down on the item to reserve it while they consider purchase; i.e., look into shipping arrangements, financing, bide time until they can physically come in to look at the piece, or any other reason.  See Details below.


Our Internet LayAway Policy is not cast in stone, but is flexible to a degree.  However, some basics apply as follows:

Purchases Less than $100 - 1 Month:

Up to 30 days maximum, 20% deposit required, non-refundable if cancelled.  If paying by credit card, we will automatically deduct the payments at the agreed upon time.  Payments made by mail must arrive by the due date.  We will allow a grace period of one week after which $10 late fees will apply.  The merchandise will not be shipped until any late fees have been paid.   


Purchases Over $100 but less than $500 - 2 Months:

Up to 60 days maximum, 20% deposit required.  If cancelled, half of deposit is non-refundable, balance of monies paid to date applicable toward other merchandise on our website.  An additional 20% payment due at end of 30 days, balance due at end of 60-day period.  If paying by credit card, we will automatically deduct the payments at the agreed upon time each month.  Payments made by mail must arrive by the due date of each month.  We will allow a grace period of one week after which $10 late fees will apply.  This will not change subsequent due dates and additional late fees will apply if payments are not received.  Merchandise will not be shipped until any late fees have been paid.  


Purchases Over $500 but less than $700 - 3 Months:

Up to 90 days maximum, 20% deposit required.  If cancelled, half of deposit is non-refundable, balance of monies paid to date applicable toward other merchandise on our website.  An additional 20% payment due at end of 30 and 60 days respectively, balance due at end of 90-day period.   If paying by credit card, we will automatically deduct the payments at the agreed upon time each month.  Payments made by mail must arrive by the due date of each month.  We will allow a grace period of one week after which $10 late fees will apply.  This will not change subsequent due dates and additional late fees will apply if payments are not received.  Merchandise will not be shipped until any late fees have been paid.  

Purchases Over $700 but less than $1,200 - 4 Months:

Up to 120 days maximum, 15% deposit required.  If cancelled, half of deposit is non-refundable, balance of monies paid to date applicable toward other merchandise on our website.  An additional 15% payment due at end of 30 , 60, and 90 days respectively, balance due at end of 120-day period.   If paying by credit card, we will automatically deduct the payments at the agreed upon time each month.  Payments made by mail must arrive by the due date of each month.  We will allow a grace period of one week after which $10 late fees will apply.  This will not change subsequent due dates and additional late fees will apply if payments are not received.  Merchandise will not be shipped until any late fees have been paid.  

Purchases Over $1,200 - 5 Months:

Up to 150 days maximum, 15% deposit required.  If cancelled, half of deposit is non-refundable, balance of monies paid to date applicable toward other merchandise on our website.  An additional 15% payment due at end of 30, 60, 90, and 120 days respectively, balance due at end of 150-day period.   If paying by credit card, we will automatically deduct the payments at the agreed upon time each month.  Payments made by mail must arrive by the due date of each month.  We will allow a grace period of one week after which $10 late fees will apply.  This will not change subsequent due dates and additional late fees will apply if payments are not received.  Merchandise will not be shipped until any late fees have been paid.

  • NOTE:   ITEMS NOT PAID FOR IN FULL BY THE AGREED END OF THE LAYAWAY PERIOD WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AGAIN AND MONIES PAID TO DATE WILL BE APPLIED AS STATED ABOVE.

To place a doll on layaway, simply use the Shopping Cart button and put in the special instructions the amount of the deposit you would like to charge.   The charge does not go through until we physically process it, so you need not worry about the amount on the Shopping Cart form.  We will only put it through for the actual amount of the deposit only.

If you wish to pay by postal mail, you may do so but at the risk that the item may be sold in the interim.  We no longer hold items for mail-in checks.  In this case, if the item you want is no longer available, your check will be returned.  The only exception to this is a 24-hour courtesy hold that we will do pending receipt of a check sent via overnight mail.

HOLDHOLDING AN ITEM

While we do offer holding an item while you contemplate purchase, we regret that we cannot offer this service free of charge.  Too often in the past, when we have extended a courtesy hold, we have ended up losing a sale to an internet purchaser or an in-store buyer who has traveled a great distance, is ready to buy, and cannot come back.  

Therefore, in order to use our HOLDoption, we require a 15% deposit on the item in question.  This prevents the item from being sold to another person and holds it for you for up to 2 weeks while you decide whether or not to complete the purchase.  If you should decide against purchase, your 15% is non-refundable.  If you decide to buy it, the deposit is applied toward the purchase price.  If you wish to purchase another item instead, 10% is usable as credit toward other merchandise if purchased within the two week period.
