This is a very hard-to-find solid quarter-sawn (tiger) oak crystal cabinet with fully-mirrored back and base. It is spectacular breakfront with elaborately carved acanthus leaf cornices on each break. The top crest is also ornately carved from one end to the other with a large fan-shaped crest in the center. This is a quality-built piece of American-made furniture dating from turn-of-the-century. The center door is slightly stepped out from the side sections. There are three heavy glass shelves inside, one of which has a chipped corner on the back side. The mirrors are all excellent. As you can well imagine, this is an extremely heavy piece and does not break down for moving. It is very sturdy and not loose in any way. There never has been an interior light, but it would not be difficult to add one if you should so choose. Condition is fantastic original in a medium-dark shade of oak with the only flaw being about a 2" long sliver of wood missing off the back left top of the crown. It tapers from the back and is about 1/4" deep at the very back end. Don't miss the brass gargoyle keyhole cover on the door ... and yes, we do have the key. Piece measures 54-1/2" wide x 18" deep x 74" overall.
